About the Event
Meditation Facilitator Training - Level 1 - Online
This training teaches how to guide Secular Meditation in a simple, science-based and device-free way.
The program is aimed at people who already meditate, have a regular meditation practice and are keen to learn how to guide others in this wonderful practice.
You may want to offer meditation to your clients, work colleagues or friends and family members. Guided meditation is a great tool to help people to get out of stress or anxiety mode and towards a more clear and calm mindset.
This is especially beneficial for those who work as Coaches, Therapists or Psychologists. Including meditation in our sessions can help our clients express more clearly what they want, become more aware of their emotions, help them become more open or non-judgmental about their present situation, and open up to new perspectives.
I love all things spiritual but the truth is that science-based meditation is more accessible to all no matter what their culture or belief system.
What will be taught?
The classes will include basic theory, guided meditations, student micro-practices, feedback on your guidance, homework and Q&A’s. The program will also include resources to read or watch in between modules. Each weekly Module consists of a 2-hour class via Zoom. There will also be a Whatsapp group for both teacher and peer-led support and feedback.
Module 1: Fundamentals of Guiding Mindfulness and Meditation [17 Oct 7 pm UK / 8 pm Madrid]
We’ll review some of the science-based benefits of Mindfulness and Meditation. We will learn how to explain the breath awareness meditation process step by step and the basic guidelines for teaching others.
Module 2: Body awareness Meditation [24 Oct 7 pm UK / 8 pm Madrid]
We'll work with a relaxing meditation known as the Body Scan. We will learn it’s neurological benefits and how to guide it.
Module 3: Deep breathing Meditation. [31 Oct 7pm UK / 8pm Madrid]
After learning to relax the body, we will go a level deeper and work with the breath. Breath counting is a great way to calm the mind and help people out of anxiety. Using breathing ratios we can influence the nervous system and the chemical balance in the body.
Module 4: Breath Awareness Meditation [7 Nov 7 pm UK / 8 pm Madrid]
After working with breathing ratios we can go a level deeper and start exploring the idea of awareness. We will learn to bring awareness to subtle aspects of the breathing process as a tool to focus the mind.
Who is this for?
Anyone who wants to expand and deepen their relationship with meditation by starting to teach it. You must be a practicing meditator to benefit from this program - it doesn't matter if you still consider yourself a beginner, however, it does matter that you consider yourself a regular meditator.
**I especially encourage coaches, psychologists, or therapists who practice meditation that wants to offer meditation practice to their clients.**
