Learn how to guide MINDFULNESS MEDITATION in a simple and science-based way. Guided meditation is a great tool to help people access a more clear and more calm mindset.
The hybrid learning modality offers the modules as recorded sessions. Also, a personal final assessment and feedback that is live-online. The program is for people who already meditate and have a regular meditation practice. If you now want to start guiding others around you, this training is for you.
This is beneficial for those who work as Coaches, Therapists, or Team Leaders. I have taught meditation and breathing practices in coaching, therapeutic, and corporate contexts. I would love to share my experience and empower you to help others in even better ways.
WHAT KIND OF MEDITATION?
You will learn to guide MINDFULNESS OR SECULAR meditation. The scientific focus makes the practice more inclusive. Regardless of belief or culture.
The classes include basic theory, guided meditation practice, and a Q&A segment after each class. The program will also include resources to read or watch before, during, and after the program. Each Module consists of a 2-hour segment. Also, there is a live online personal class for your final assessment and feedback.
Module 1: Fundamentals of Guiding Mindfulness Meditation. (Video Recording)
We’ll review some of the science-based benefits of Mindfulness and Meditation. We will learn how to explain the breath awareness meditation process. Also, learn the core principles when guiding others.
Module 2: Body Awareness Meditation. (Video Recording)
We'll work with a relaxing meditation known as the Body Scan. We will learn its neurological benefits and how to guide it. We will discuss several meditation styles and modalities.
Module 3: Breath Meditation Part 1. (Video Recording)
After learning to relax the body, we will go a level deeper and work with the breath. Breath awareness is a great way to calm the mind and help people out of anxiety. Breathing can influence the nervous system and the chemical balance in the body.
Module 4: Awareness & Breath Meditation Part 2 (Video Recording)
We will go deeper and start exploring the idea of awareness. We will learn to bring awareness to more subtle aspects of the breathing process as a tool to focus the mind.
The last module is a 90-minute personal video call with your teacher, Rio Otoya. During this call, we will cover any questions from Modules 1 to 4, and feedback on your meditation guiding style. Prior to our call you should submit a 10-minute guided meditation audio. After our call, you will receive a Certificate of completion.
TIME & MONEY INVESTMENT
We recommend that you cover one module per week. This would be 2 to 4 hours a week, plus a 90-minute video call on week 5.
Each module takes 2 hours of video content and there is some recommended homework that could take an extra 1 to 2 hours. The homework is mainly practicing guiding meditation with real people and also making a short recording. There are also some resources that you could explore like TED talks and articles.
The course is offered at 200 EUR
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?
Anyone who wants to expand and deepen their relationship with meditation. It doesn't matter if you still consider yourself a beginner. But, it does matter that you consider yourself a regular meditator.
