About the Event

Rapeh is a sacred, non-psychedelic plant medicine. It is a mix of tobacco powder and ashes from different medicinal plants. Rapeh is blowing it through the nostrils. The main sensations are of warmth and a sense of mental calm and emotional grounding.

Rapeh is traditionally used to get rid of the “Nisu” from the body. A Nisu is a "cold wind" like fear, confusion, or a block in the functioning of the systems in the body. In Yogic terms, Rapeh helps clear the energy channels for a better flow of life force or Prana.

In more contemporary settings, Rapeh is used to center before or after Ayahuasca ceremonies. It is also considered a way of decalcifying the pineal gland. Also, Rapeh is a helpful way of grounding before practices like Meditation.

What to expect?

We will offer a short introduction and a gentle Rapeh blow, followed by a moment of meditation. There will be an optional second application of a different Rapeh, which may be a little stronger. The will be time for resting and sharing. Rapeh is not psychedelic. Yet, one might experience an increased sense of calm, stillness, and introspection.

What to bring and how to prep?

Bring bottled water. Tissues, yoga mats, and blankets will be provided. Please be sober and avoid alcohol or recreational drugs on this day.
